Distribution:

Lifestyle:
The Sacred Ibis is diurnal and spends a significant amount of time searching for food. Its diet primarily consists of fish, as well as insects, worms, mollusks, and other aquatic invertebrates. While foraging, it explores marshy areas and mudflats, using its long beak to extract prey from them. It also feeds on plants, gathering fruits and seeds.

Reproduction:
Sacred Ibises breed in large colonies, creating nests on trees, shrubs, or in water. The female lays 2-4 eggs, which both the female and male incubate for about 3-4 weeks. After hatching, the chicks accompany their parents on hunting expeditions.
